President | Aaron Mueller
I have lived in Country Trace since 2016. For the first three years I was a long term renter. A little over two years ago I was fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase the home I was renting and started a full remodel, inside and outside. After two years of working on my home nights and weekends it feels amazing to finally be done.
I’m originally from small town Wisconsin and attended the university of Minnesota, obtaining an Electrical Engineering Bachelor of Science degree. After working several years in the aerospace industry, I decided to get my Master of Business Administration degree. Currently I am a Program Manager for a major defense contractor. In this role, I review and negotiate multimillion dollar contracts, have sole responsibility for my programs’ profit & loss performance, manage a cross functional team to ensure product is delivered on time, and manage customer relationships. All of which I feel is directly applicable to the role of a Country Trace HOA board member.
Vice President | Paul Sheridan
My wife, Holly, and I reside at 6766 E. Beverly Ln and are recent empty nester transplants from Lake Forest, IL. I grew up in the Chicago land area, attended The University of Denver. Subsequent to graduating, I traded derivatives in the pits of the Chicago Board of Trade and then went on to a long career in commercial real estate. I am a partner with Hamilton Partners real estate and have been working as a commercial real estate developer for over 25 years building shopping centers that include companies such as Whole Foods, Sam’s Club, Coopers Hawk, Chipotle, Starbucks and a host of other national retailers. I also have experience in medical office building and multi family development. I hope to bring the knowledge and skills I have gained in both finance and development and add value to the HOA. I’m well practiced in securing municipal entitlements, structuring leases and public private partnerships, negotiating construction contracts / competitive bidding and also working with architects and civil engineers.
I’m eager to contribute to the community and neighborhood, have the time to dedicate as needed and welcome the opportunity to work in a collaborative and team environment. I have no personal aspirations beyond meeting some great people and enhancing the neighborhood and community. My prior Board experience would be relegated to my company’s 401K Review Board with oversight and stewardship of approximately $70 million dollars.
Treasurer | Rich Warren
I have lived in Country Trace for 2 years but have lived in the Kierland area for 18 years. I have a degree in Business Management from Indiana University and a Construction Engineering degree (magna cum laude) from Purdue University. Most of my professional career has been spent with real estate developers as a Construction Project Manager. Currently I am a real estate investor with a portfolio of rental properties.
Secretary | Richard Morrell
I moved into Country Trace January 2009 with a passion to serve our community. Previously, I served 4 years on the Board of Directors for Lakeland Village, a new lakefront community in Boise, ID. I approved architectural designs including custom homes and colors from multiple architects. I have over 24 years in the design industry to include landscape design, kitchen and closet design, color consulting and more. I am currently serving an appointed position for Country Trace. I am encouraged by the direction of our community, so would like to continue to serve our community as we participate in a fast paced growing competitive housing market. I want CT to shine as a friendly and desired community to both live and move to. I am passionate to promote unity and involvement in our diverse community. I network internationally with positive and inspirational individuals, speakers, and coaches who promote raising the vibration of our planet and oneness of human kind. I would like to offer that spirit of unity for all of the residents of Country Trace.
I am originally from East Tennessee. I have a BA Degree from Carson-Newman College and graduate work from SWBTS in Fort Worth, TX. I have lived in NC, Texas, San Diego, CA, and Boise, ID. In Dallas/FW I worked in healthcare for 13 years in psychiatric/addictions treatment for both adolescents and adults. I then worked for AIDS prevention for over 3 years funded by the Centers of Disease Control. I continue to work in the design industry as well as build my own coaching/retreat business RICH ALLAN.
Member at Large | Adam Jaffe
My family has lived in Country Trace since 2016. I am currently serving on the board by appointment and would like to continue to do so. My goal is to make our homeowners smile, laugh and strive for a better community. This can be accomplished by ensuring transparent communication between board members and the community. I will assist however possible to make sure that the Board executes their duties efficiently and effectively.
For the last 25 years, I have advised clients on their strategic, legal, financial, regulatory, and corporate matters. My law practice serves organizations in diversified industries to improve their operating workflows and generate asset appreciation. These services include strategy and oversight of risk, planning, policies, procedures, relationships, management, employment matters and compliance. I received my J.D. from Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and my Bachelor of Science from Syracuse University.
Board Offices & Duties
Being a Volunteer member of an HOA Board of Directors comes with duties and responsibilities. The Association’s CC&R’s (Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions) and the Bylaws set forth the general powers and duties of the Board and the specific limitations upon the Board’s powers. Other requirements and limitations are legally spelled out in the Arizona Revised Statutes. The Board of Directors generally has the power to adopt and publish “Rules and Regulations” to protect the interests of the homeowners.
The offices of the Board of Directors are generally President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and a Member at Large. The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to provide general information only, and are subject to change as the needs of the Association change.
President
The President presides at all meetings of the Board of Directors. The President is ultimately responsible to see that resolutions of the Board of Directors are carried out. The President generally signs all contracts and other written instruments and co-approves all expenditures.
Vice President
The Vice President acts in place and stead of the President in the event of the absence of the President and exercises other duties as may be required by the Board.
Treasurer
The Treasurer performs all of the following activities or causes them to be performed through a contracted accountant. Receives and deposits in appropriate bank accounts all monies of the Association and disburses such funds as directed by resolutions of the Board of Directors. The Treasurer signs all checks of the Association, is keeper of the books of account; causes an Annual Audit of the Association books to be made by a public accountant at the completion of each fiscal year, and prepares an annual budget and a statement of income and expenditures to be presented to the Membership.
Secretary
The Secretary records the votes and keeps the minutes of all meetings and proceedings of the Board and of the Members. The Secretary also serves or causes to be served, notice of meetings of the Board and the Members; keeps appropriate current records showing the Members of the Association together with their address, email address for communication and performs other duties as required by the Board.
Member at Large
The Member at Large is the fifth member of the Board of Directors and is a voting member of the Board. The member at large fulfills duties as assigned by the Board.
