Interested in becoming a Board Member?
As homeowners, we have a big stake in making sure our community maintains its property values, is safe, and is clean. What is the best way to ensure your community will be maintained and cared for? The best way is to be an active member of your HOA.
Experience is not necessary to be a Board Member; however, we encourage those with experience and strong leadership skills to consider applying.
Expectations of Board Directors:
- Prepare for and attend Board Meetings (typically 2 hours per meeting once per month, but more often if needed). Currently meetings are held via Zoom.
- Periodically assist on various projects. Level of involvement dictated by activities of the Board, needs of the Community or your own personal interests.
- Each Board Director may chair a committee of homeowner volunteers, coordinating and attending those meetings as needed (Architecture, Landscape, Nominating, Social).
- Become familiar with and be in compliance with the Association’s governing documents. The Bylaws and CC&Rs (Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions) are posted here.
- Directors cannot be compensated in any way for their roles on the HOA Board and agree not to realize any personal gain from their involvement on the Board of Directors.
- Each lot is allowed one vote, so only one member per household should be on the Board.
- AZ law requires HOA Directors to conduct themselves with fiduciary responsibility to the Association, regardless of personal preferences.
